Safety practices are necessary to ensure that providers offer safe, quality childcare. These practices ensure that teachers are qualified and prepared to care for young children as well as give parents peace of mind that their children will be in a safe and enriching environment while they are at work.

In this training, participants will:

  • Review best practices when using “universal precautions” in the early childhood classroom
  • Review steps required when a fire is discovered and demonstrate the proper use of a fire extinguisher
  • Examine ways to prevent children from being left in a vehicle
