Development is a process which involves learning and mastering skills like sitting, walking, talking, skipping, and tying shoes. Development proceeds at varying rates from child to child as well as unevenly within different areas of each child’s functioning.
Children learn these skills during predictable time periods. Learning and development follow sequences.

In this training, participants will:

  • Review the four areas of child development and how they relate to the proper development of children
  • Recognize factors that affect the development of children and ways to provide intervention
